Analysis of gas matrices
At Quad-lab, we define gaseous matrices as any sample in the gaseous state collected at room temperature, without transformation, in suitable containers: bags, bulbs.

The operation of a gas analysis
🧪 Sampling :
Sampling can be performed using various techniques, such as passive or active sampling (active sampling requires the use of a pumping system to ensure active circulation).
⚙️ Sample preparation :
After sampling, the gas sample must be prepared for analysis.
🔬 Analysis :
Gas analysis can be performed using various methods, such as gas chromatography (GC), infrared spectroscopy (IR), or mass spectrometry (MS). Each method has its advantages and can be selected based on the sample to be examined.
📈 Interpretation of the results :
Following the analysis, the results must be interpreted to identify the composition of the gas mixture and the various concentrations. One can juxtapose the results with established references or thresholds, for example, to assess air quality or compliance with regulatory standards.
